www.westin.com/alexandria

Check-In: All reservations will commence at 3 pm the day before CAPSTONE starts. OCONUS may arrive the Sat before class starts. Please forward your request for Capstone to coordinate.

Checkout: Final checkout is Friday morning of the last day of class. Capstone will pay for and coordinate a Sat morning checkout for OCONUS travelers.

* If you require additional reservations (OCONUS arrivals) notify CAPSTONE of your request so coordination can be made. You can call the Westin to confirm the reservation two weeks before the course start date.

* Spouses attending the Executive Development Course during the final week of CAPSTONE may stay at the hotel with the member at no additional charge.

Westin no-shows: all reservation changes must be coordinated through Capstone. Any reserved night that is not used, the responsible Fellow will be charged the hotel no-show rate (one nights room charge.) For example, if you confirmed your reservation to start on Sat and you didn’t notify Capstone that you weren’t going to show up until Sun, you will be charged Saturday’s room charge. Please help us save government funds by notifying us of any and all changes.

Parking: The Westin offers complimentary valet parking.

Metro: The Westin is conveniently located 2 blocks from the King Street Metro on the Blue and Yellow Lines. It is 2 stops from Reagan National Airport.

Luggage Storage: A secure room for luggage storage while you are on travel is available.

***CAPSTONE Fellows who choose to stay at a location other than the Westin will be required to pay for their lodging and additional room/city tax.  Our contract exempts both.  Staying at another hotel will incur an additional expense to the government (room/city tax).  Additionally, Fellows must make arrangements for baggage storage while traveling outside the local area (approximately 2 weeks of the course). Dual lodging is not authorized.
